• 10g is relatively easy and inexpensive to stretch to
• there is a lot of variety in the jewelry you can wear at 10g
• it’s big enough to notice it’s stretched, but small enough that you can always shrink it back if you want to

cons:

• you can’t drink through a straw that runs through your septum to impress friends or potential sexual partners
